A community open house is planned to give residents in Viera and surrounding communities a chance to preview development plans for West Viera. The open house, sponsored by The Viera Company, will be held on Thursday, September 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Viera Regional Park Gymnasium, 6288 Athletics Lane, Viera.
“Throughout our planning and approval process for the West Viera expansion area, we have invited residents to a series of open houses to share their views of our plans and we have benefited from their comments and perspectives. This open house gives them another opportunity to preview the plan and learn more about current development activities in their community,” said Stephen L. Johnson, president of The Viera Company, master developer of Viera.
In addition to comments from the general public, input to the plans has also been offered through a community advisory panel comprised of individuals representing business, social, cultural and environmental interests.
Members of the project’s planning team will be on hand to answer questions and hear the views of area residents about the continued development of the Viera community.
Viera-based community organizations and commercial interests will be at the open house with information about their programs and services.
The Viera Company submits its final plans to the county and state this fall.
