Future Development Potential
Since Viera must be developed as a Development of Regional Impact, The Viera Company is developing a master plan for the remainder of the property and will submit it along with an extensive application, providing detailed analyses of the potential impacts of development, to Brevard County and the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council for review and approval.
In the West Viera planning area, The Viera Company is proposing under 11,000 residential units. The currently adopted Brevard County comprehensive plan provides for more than 17,000 residential units in this area.
