Infrastructure Improvements
Roads
Viera has donated right-of-way and constructed miles of public roads within the community, including Viera Boulevard, Murrell Road, Solerno Boulevard, Stadium Parkway, Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Lake Andrew Drive, and Wickham Road. The company has donated land for the Pineda Extension and recently committed to donate land to be used for the development of the Pineda interchange with I-95. Roads within the neighborhoods have been constructed with gentle curves, high curbs and cul-de-sacs to slow motorists and promote safety. Eight- to ten-foot wide sidewalks throughout the developed areas of Viera accommodate pedestrians, bicyclists and golf carts.

Parks and Recreation
In 1995, Florida Governor Lawton Chiles designated Viera’s recreational trail system an official “Florida Greenway.” The system links neighborhoods with conservation areas and parks. Viera East has three community parks. In Central Viera, there are three community parks under construction in addition to Brevard Regional Park that opened in March 2007. The Regional Park was built on 125 acres donated by The Viera Company. The parks are outfitted with features such as children's play areas, recreational fields and basketball courts. Many neighborhoods also have recreational areas that feature swimming pools, children's areas, and lakefront access. The Duda family donated 56 acres of land for the community-built Brevard Zoo. The Viera East Golf Club is an award-winning 18-hole championship public course designed by Joe Lee. The Duran Golf Club, an 18 hole championship public course designed by Chip Powell, includes a pro shop and clubhouse. The Duran Development Center, a teaching facility, driving range and Par 3 golf course is also located in Central Viera. The Washington Nationals’ Major League baseball spring training complex and the Space Coast Stadium were built on 74 acres of land donated by The Viera Company. More parks are planned for the future.
Drainage Improvements
The water management system already in place on the Ranch provided the basis for the community’s storm water management system. A water management system was designed and constructed to improve water quality, recharge wetlands and retain the natural beauty of the property. The community was then planned to incorporate a series of isolated and interconnected lakes that serve as a flow way system throughout the property, preserving and recharging existing and re-created wetlands, and intercepting storm water runoff.
