West Viera Planning Team
The Viera Company has assembled a team of professionals to help move the planning process forward. They are:
Planning, Transportation and Environmental – Tim Jackson, Joe Anglin, Carey Hayo, George Kramer, Brent Lacy and Bill Lites of Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin, Inc.
Planning services are being provided by the firm of Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin. Based in Orlando, Glatting Jackson is very experienced with the planning of pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use communities. Their expertise includes alternative transportation planning and environmental analysis. The Glatting Jackson firm has been advising The Viera Company since the 1980s.
Civil Engineering – Hassan Kamal of BSE Consultants
Brevard County-based engineering firm B.S.E. first opened its doors in 1937. In response to the demand for civil engineering and environmental services, the firm was changed to B.S.E. Consultants, Inc. in 1986. Today, B.S.E.’s primary areas of expertise are in general civil, utility, transportation, wetland identification, wetland mitigation, water quality, wildlife/habitat identification, and agricultural engineering. B.S.E. Consultants, Inc. has provided professional services for nearly 1,000 projects in Viera in the past 5 years.
Mr. Kamal is a Principal Engineer and Vice-President of BSE Consultants Inc. and has been practicing Civil Engineering in Florida since 1986 and working in Brevard County since 1988. His experience has included the design and project management of numerous large scale residential and commercial projects. Mr. Kamal has extensive experience with the Viera project, having worked on the original planning and engineering for the first phase of the Viera project starting in 1989.
Public Outreach – Analee Mayes of Consensus Builders, Inc.
Analee Mayes is a facilitator and public outreach consultant in private practice in Tampa. She began her practice working with the electric utility industry in Florida to involve the public in the siting of electrical facilities. With a technical background in land use and environmental planning, she now facilitates various planning and decision-making processes, ranging from community planning to water management conflict resolution in Tampa Bay and South Florida. Her role on the planning team is to direct the outreach program and facilitate the meetings of the West Viera Community Advisory Panel.
